“Inside Big Bend National Park, we are looking at fewer people crossing. It’s less than 0.05% of all the border crossings that are apprehended along the US-Mexico border. We’re seeing pictures of these bulldozers, excavators, heavy equipment, that are destroying riparian forest in the national park, right near some of the most iconic views. We are hearing from CBP that they are going to be very sensitive to the environment, that they will be using natural terrain where it exists. They will coordinate with locals.
