Friends of the Ruidoso Church et al v. Mullin
Three federal court cases have been filed in opposition to border infrastructure in Big Bend National Park, and several others have been filed concerning other areas in the greater Big Bend region. On August 17, 2026, KBBW and the Coalition to Protect America’s National Parks filed an Amicus (Friend of the Court) brief in the first of these cases, Friends of the Ruidoso Church et al v. Mullin.
We expect to be asked to file a declaration and/or testify in an evidentiary hearing regarding our knowledge of border apprehension data for the national park. We are considering filing additional Amicus briefs in the other cases. Public documents will be posted here. (updated September 14, 2026)
