Congressional Testimony

In March 2025, Former Big Bend National Park Superintendent Bob Krumenaker and Terrell County Sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland both testified before a hearing of the House Natural Resources Committee regarding Border Security.  While they testified on opposite sides of the bill that was under consideration, both indicated there was no need for a wall in Big Bend National Park.  They are allies now in opposition to a physical border wall, new roads or other intrusive infrastructure in the national park.
